Buckwheat - (Fagopyrum esculentum)


This herb is a member of the knotgras family. Buckwheat can grow up to 24 inches high. The fruit which is enclosed in a brown shell is triangular and has a bitter tase.
Plant buckwheat in sandy soil in a sunny location.
